GATEWAY BREWING COMPANY - BOMBAY PORTER Alcohol Content : 6% - 8% Abv Brewed at Gateway Brewing Company, Mumbai. Beer style : Porter Appearance : The beer pours black in colour with a medium tan head. Opaque in appearance as no light passes through it. Head despitates with time. No lacing was observed. Aroma & Flavor : The beer has a moderate roasted malt aroma and flavor which builds up as it gets warmer. Medium to high caramel aroma and flavors are detected accompanying moderate toffee aroma and flavors. It has a spicy alcohol warmth which is noticeable and is prominent once the beer gets warm. A light coffee and chocolate characters are found. No hop aroma and flavor detected. Mouthfeel : This is a full bodied beer with medium carbonation. The carbonation bite gives a perception of metallic taste but does not alter the taste of the beer. Moderate spicy alcohol fusels could be felt on the palate.
