BRO CODE. WITTY BRO - German Wheat Beer - Hefeweizen
Alcohol Content :- 5% v/v
Brewed by Denninghoffs GMBH. Heidelberg Germany Estd. 9th February 1613
Product of Germany🇩🇪
(Note - 'Hefe' in German means Yeast, 'Weizen' in German means Wheat, hence Hefeweizen- Wheat beer)
Appearance :- Straw to Deep Golden in colour, looks clear in the glass , very small head(foam/froth) was formed head retention is very low which is not expected, Carbonation is medium, No lacing was observed, small and medium bubbles were formed, sediments could be seen which indicate the beer was unfiltered(very typical for a Hefeweizen)
Aroma :- Sweet honey like aroma with fresh lime, apple, fresh cut grass and herbaceous on the nose eg. green bell pepper.
Flavor :- The beer is low on bitterness, sweetness from the malt is observed.
Mouthfeel :- This is a light bodied beer with very low bitterness, sweetness from the malt gives it a sweet touch, its a smooth easy going beer.
Overall impression :- The Witty Bro Hefeweizen is a good beer. It was too sweet on the palate the bitterness from the hops was almost lost. Personally i felt there was something missing in this beer. It was an easy going beer hence 2-3 pints could be enjoyed after a tiring day at work. This Wheat beer is good for people who do not prefer their beer to be bitter(hoppy).
Note :- If you see sediments in a beer it is not the dirt its the yeast that is unfiltered which is perfectly safe for consumption.
(This is my personal review.
