TUBORG WHITE - STRONG WHEAT BEER REVIEW

TUBORG WHITE - STRONG WHEAT BEER REVIEW
Alcohol Content : 8% ABV
Brewed at CARLSBERG INDIA PVT LTD
Country of Origin : Denmark
Style : BELGIAN WITBIER

The beer pours pale yellow in colour with a cloudy appearance. A white head is formed which stayed for a short time. Lacing was observed.
Prominent sweet wheat malt aroma and flavor. Moderate citrusy notes with light herbal caracter. Low banana esters are found. Low coriander flavor. No hop bitterness or aroma.
A medium bodied beer with a moderate carbonation. Leaves a sweet wheat malt and a light citrus aftertaste. Astringency is moderate and leaves a dry mouthfeel.

Overall Impression : I had hopes for this beer as it sat with me for a month during this lockdown and I have to say I am alittle disappointed with it. The sweet wheat malt profile is prominent and dominates the fruity citrus flavor. Apparently I also got light banana flavors too which was surprising for this style. The balance is lacking in the beer. I am not sure about this but it surely does the work of quenching the thirst. Another point to be noted are the ingredients used i.e Sugar and Gum Arabic which explains the sweetness in the beer. I believe they are trying hard to cope with the craft beer segment but this is not doing that good unlike their commercial lagers. Do try this and let me know what you guys think.
Cheers🍺
