Budejovicky Budvar : Czech Imported Lager

Budejovicky Budvar : Czech Imported Lager
Alcohol Content :- 5%.
Brewed at Budejovicky Budvar Brewery, Czech Republic🇨🇿.
History : Budejovicky Budvar(Budweiser Budvar) beer is produced only in the brewery headquarters at Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. They started brewing on 7th October, 1895.
In 2004, European Union awarded the 'Budweiser Budwar' a protection Geographical Indication status as a traditional regionally produced good.
There were disputes over the name of 'Budweiser' between American brewery Anheuser-Busch(that makes American Budweiser) and Budweiser Budvar brewery. In 2010 Anheuser-Busch lost its last instance appeal in the European Court of Justice hence could not use 'Budweiser' as trademark in European Union Trademarks. Hence Anheuser-Busch uses 'Bud' in most European Unions.
Appearance : Golden in colour. Clear in appearance. A small head is formed. Head retention is low as the head disappears after a while.
Aromas : Sweet bread like aromas with dry herbaceous notes.

Flavor : Sweet bread dough flavors with herbaceous notes. Medium hop flavors.
Mouthfeel : The beer is a light bodied beer. Crisp and refreshing. Medium hop bitterness with medium astringency. Gives a sweet touch of the malt with aftertaste of the hops and leaves the palate dry.

Overall Impression : This was a refreshing beer. Overall a decent lager which is better then the Indian lagers that are bottled. It has minimum flavors but good refreshing characteristics that make it very drinkable. One can enjoy 5 to 6 pints without getting the hangover. I would pair this beer with Indian fried fish and bite size portion appetizers. Available across India in major Wine & Spirits stores. Cheers 🍺
