Peroni - Nastro Azzurro - Italiana
Alcohol Content :- 5.1% v/v.
Brewed at Birra Peroni - Italy🇮🇹.

About the company : In 1846, Francesco Peroni established his first brewery in Vigevano, in Pavia province. It was called Birra Peroni and still bears the founder’s name to this day.
In 1933, Luxury Italian liner SS Rex won the coveted 'Blue Riband' ('Nastro Azzurro' in Italian), a prize awarded for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic by passenger liners. Since then, the SS Rex has become a symbol of national pride, inspiring the name of Nastro Azzurro 30 years later.
In 2005, the brand was re-launched Internationally and was called Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
In 2019, Peroni Nastro Azzurro was one of the top 5 most popular beers in the world.
Appearance : The beer is straw to yellow in colour. Clear in appearance. A small head was formed with low head retention. Small flakes observed in the glass.
Aromas : On the nose bread dough aromas with herbaceous notes and coriander aromas. No hop aromas detected.
Flavor : Sweet malt flavor of bread dough. Medium bitterness from the hops. Hints of coriander flavors.
Mouthfeel : The beer is a light bodied beer. Crisp and refreshing with low astringency. Pleasant hop aftertaste. Carbonation high.

Overall Impression :  Italy is not only famous for its Wine and Food but also its Beer. I always wanted to try this beer and finally got my hands on it. The sweet malt touch and medium hop bitterness with the crisp mouthfeel makes it a very enjoyable beer for a hot summer afternoon. This is a well balanced beer. This beer can be enjoyed throughout the year and can be paired with spicy food. To make it more interesting I paired it with spicy wings which made it more exciting for me. Peroni has not disappointed me for sure. This beer is available in most of the stores in India and very popular in bars and restaurants. If you do get a chance try out this Italian beauty and be a judge for yourself. Cheers 🍺
