Kronenbourg 1664 - Blanc

Kronenbourg 1664 - Blanc
Alcohol Content :-4.5% v/v
Brewed at Baltika Breweries, Russia.
Style : Witbier.
About the company : Kronenbourg was born in France in 1664. It is the only beer in the world to be named after a date. Kronenbourg 1664 brewery originated in 1952. This is the Original Alsace beer and France's number #1 beer. During 2004-2005 it won the International Brewing Award. Kronenbourg has breweries in the UK, France and Australia. The Carlsberg group officially owns and brews Kronenbourg globally, except in the UK where it is owned and brewed by Heineken International.
Appearance : The beer is light yellow in colour. A small head is formed. Medium hazy in appearance. Head retention is good as it stays till the end. Lacing is observed.
Aroma and flavor : The beer gives fresh orange peel aromas and flavors with hints of coriander which is extremely low on the nose and palate. Low hop bitterness on the palate with hints of sweet malt flavors.
Mouthfeel : It is a light bodied beer. Crisp on the palate with strong orange flavors on the palate. Gives out hints of coriander with low hop bitterness. Low astringency with low malt sweetness.
Overall Impression : The Kronenbourg 1664 was a decent wheat beer. Crisp and refreshing with low hop bitterness. The strong orange flavor overpowers the entire beer. It felt like having orange juice with fizz. This was a Belgian style Witbier by France. I personally did not enjoy this but for consumers who love Belgium Wit they will definitely have an acquired taste for Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc. Priced at 160₹ in Goa and 320₹ in Mumbai which doesnt seem fair to me. Im sure craft beer lovers wont like this but for beer tasting this can be a good start.
