The beer has a moderate malt sweetness with light notes of honey. A soft bready wheat flavor is present. It has a moderate citrusy aroma and flavor. Low to medium-low fruity esters of banana on the nose aswell as on the palate. Low level of clove like phenols are found which isn't that noticable but is present. Herbaceous character are also found but are at low levels. Medium bodied and crisp on the palate. No hop bitterness detected hence give a perception of sweetness to the beer. Carbonation level is high with moderate astringency found which gives a medium dry finish.

Overall Impression : The Erdinger Weißbier was a total delight for me. I actually did a proper beer tasting after 4 months and its been a great tasting for me. The beer is quite enjoyable with both the characters of a Hefeweizen and a Witbier. Not a traditional Hefeweizen I would say. I was expecting more of the Banana and cloves but the Citrus was overpowering the Hefeweizen characters. I tried the beer at a little warmer temperature which opened up the beer flavors and I would recommend you to do the same. The ERDINGER Weißbier is priced at 330₹ in Mumbai and seems like a fair price to me compared to the other Wheat beers in the market. Would highly recommend this beer for wheat beer drinkers. Cheers 🍺
