During World War II, the Japanese beer industry was consolidated. After the war ended, however, it once again became three individual companies. The Osaka Beer Brewing Company, now called Asahi Breweries, challenged itself to return to the top of the domestic beer market.
In March 1987 Asahi Super Dry was launched. Exceptional quality and uniquely satisfying taste of Asahi Super Dry by making it the number-one-selling beer in Japan.
Appearance : The beer is deep Golden in colour. Clear in appearance. A small head is formed. Head retention is low as it fades away after a while.Aromas : Floral notes with red fruit aromas of Red Cherry and Plum. Malt aromas were found on the palate aswell.
Mouthfeel : The beer is crisp on the palate. Light bodied. High astringency. Malt sweetness is pleasant.
Flavor : Malt sweetness with low hop bitterness. Dry grass flavors on the palate.
Overall Impression : This is a super dry beer as mentioned on the label. This beer has characters of a red wine very similar to a Pinot Noir. Has the tannin effect and gives red fruit aromas. This beer can be paired with any food and it wont disappoint you for sure. This beer is expensive in Mumbai priced at 360₹ a pint. Surely this will take a tow on your pocket but its unlike any other lagers in the market. This is the best lager I have had so far and would surely grab another pint soon. I highly recommend this beer for all the lager beer lovers out there. Cheers🍺
