The Himalayan Monkey - India Pale Ale

The Himalayan Monkey - India Pale Ale
Alcohol Content : 5% v/v
IBU : Between 15-25
Brewed in CMJ Breweries PVT LTD.
Appearance : The beer is Amber in colour. Medium hazy in appearance. A medium head is formed but reduces in size. The head stays till the end of the glass. Flakes were observed in the glass once poured.
Aroma : Floral notes and bready notes were observed. Hints of citrus fruit coming through with caramel and unripe melon aromas on the nose. No hop aromas detected.

Flavor : The beer gives out floral notes with medium hop bitterness. Sweet bitter taste of citrus fruits and mineral like flavors of mineral water could be observed.
Mouthfeel : The beer is a light bodied beer. Medium bitterness on the palate. Low astringency. Clean finish with citrus flavors. Does not linger on the palate. Sweet mineral like flavors could be detected.
Overall Impression : The Himalayan Monkey seemed like a regular beer to me. Not much in terms of flavors. This beer did not feel like an IPA. It best suits in a description of a Pale Ale in term of flavors. Unlike IPA's which linger on the palate for a while this does not impart any of those characters but it surely stands out in terms of the quality of the water that is used. Find the Himalayan Monkey and do enjoy it with your beer buddies. Cheers🍺
